Chemistry Workshop

D. K. District PU College Principal’s Association and D. K. PU College Chemistry Lecturers’ Forum conducted the Chemistry Workshop on 6 July 2018 in collaboration with Vikas PU College in its campus here. The workshop was inaugurated by Sri. Nagarajappa M, Deputy Director, P. U. Education, D.K.

Chief Guest of the programme Mrs. Elvira Philomena, President, D.K. District P.U. College Principal’s Association advised the participants to enrich their knowledge and to utilise the same in the teaching-learning process.

The chief guest and resource person of the progamme Dr. Hemant M. Pande, Head, Associate Professor, Hislop College, Nagpur, Maharashtra guided all the participants to motivate students in chemistry subject by means of effective teaching methods overcoming the obstacles in the present system of education.

16 Students of various colleges of D.K. with BPL card holders who scored above 95 marks in Chemistry in Pre-University Board Examinations 2018 from Dakshina Kannada were felicitated with cash prize on the occasion.

The function was presided by Dr. D. Sripathi Rao, Correspondent, Vikas PU College, Mangaluru and he briefed the methodology of teaching Chemistry to PU students.

Sri. Jayanand N. Suvarna, President, D.K. P.U. College Chemistry Lecturers Forum, Prof. T. Rajaram Rao, Principal, Vikas PU College, Mangaluru and Mrs. Manjula, HOD, Dept.of Chemistry, Vikas PU College, were present on the occasion.

Sri. Murali Krishna welcomed the gathering, Sri. Rajesh HOD, SDM College, delivered the vote of thanks, and Sri. Venkatesh K., Lecturer in Chemistry, Vikas PU College, compered the program.
